Transport

The next international airports near Weimar are Berlin and Frankfurt am Main. The next closer airports are Leipzig and Altenburg; the closest one is Erfurt.

There are trains from Berlin to Weimar at daytime every hour. It takes 2,5 hours to get to Weimar. From Frankfurt to Weimar is nearly the same. From Altenburg and Leipzig to Weimar there are trains every hour and it takes approximately 2 hours from Altenburg and 1,5 hours form Leipzig to go to Weimar.
